Mold Doctor has done extensive research on the companies and individuals we recommend. Our certified inspectors will evaluate your situation and provide you with a Remediation specialist to assist you with the next step of the removal process.
Every remediation situation is different. The size of the growth is the basis for the six levels of remediation, based upon the New York City Mold Guidelines on Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in Indoor Environments and the EPA’s Mold Removal Guidelines and the IIRC S520 protocols.
Level I - A small isolated area less then 10 square feet
Level II – Mid-sized isolated area of 10 to 30 square feet
Level III – Large isolated area of 30 to 100 square feet
Level IV - Extensive contamination over 100 contiguous square feet
Level V-VI - Involve HVAC contaminations Level I or II contamination can often be remediated quickly and effectively without exhaustive methods. Areas of extensive growth that require the installation of a containment and negative air system require a more detailed approach.
